‘Christian Woman’ is about how when you are raised a certain way you look at everything through that same moral lens. It's mostly about the transition of "self" after the realization of the absurd nature of looking at things the way only someone else wants you to. It's about understanding our ingrained animal nature and distancing ourselves from moral ambiguities. Christian Woman was originally written on and for acoustic guitar but the electronic platform captures the essence of the song in a more complete way, making it raw and less refined.

I've been listening to Shadows & Mirrors since the beginning. Their songwriting has evolved, and the growth is perhaps most noticeable on Clones. The soundscapes are more open and intriguing, built from dark wave, goth, and industrial elements. The material is deeper, stickier, and darker, and in my book, that's a good combination.
